Empowering women on a daily basis

Doors of Hope empowers women to break the cycle of addiction, homelessness, and incarceration.

Our yearlong Reeentry and Recovery Program provides safe, stable housing, basic needs, peer recovery support, case management, education, licensed counseling, medication managment, employment support, and mentoring in a trauma informed community environment.

Our Women’s Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program provides outpatient substance use treatment for women who may be juggling the demands of work, family, and children and who are seeking support with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health needs. Our program provides accessible, affordable, and flexible care that helps strengthen recovery without disrupting daily responsibilities.

Our pre-release program has been in place since the beginning. We offer educational classes in all Rutherford County Correctional Facilities. Doors of Hope receives referrals for women leaving incarceration as well as rehab centers in more than 50 counties across Tennessee.

Initially established as a teaching endeavor in the Rutherford County Correctional Work Center with 12 students, one unpaid teacher, and four volunteers, the agency has grown to provide education and transition planning in each of Rutherford County’s correctional facilities.

Doors of Hope offers a yearlong reentry and recovery program as an alternative to women returning to high-risk environments. This program provides a fresh start, where they participate in a comprehensive reentry and recoveyr program which includes safe, supportive housing.

Though Doors of Hope specializes in reentry services for justice involved women, it also accepts applications and provides programming for women completing inpatient substance use treatment.

Our program teaches personal values, responsibility, and skills for life after incarceration. We guide and mentor our clients as they navigate reentry challenges before and after release.

Doors of Hope has a proven track record of reducing recidivism and supporting justice involved mothers, sisters, and daughters who become sober, contributing members of their families and communities. By providing accountability, unconditional support, a recovery centered community, and a robust network of partners, Doors of Hope offers women an opportunity to change the trajectories of their lives and the lives of their families.

Our Women’s IOP program is tailored to the needs of women, with evening program hours and family accomodations.
